Tallink’s new Menu Nordic – an exquisite symbiosis of Nordic autumnal flavours with a dash of classic French cuisine
To the delight of the fine dining enthusiasts travelling onboard Tallink Grupp’s vessels this autumn, Tallink Grupp’s culinary fleet presents the new tasting menu Menu Nordic French Fusion, where the finest Scandinavian autumnal ingredients meet the classic culinary tradition of the French cuisine. The new 5-course set menu is available at the Gourmet restaurant onboard the company’s vessel Baltic Queen, operating between capital cities of Tallinn and Stockholm; and at the Bon Vivant restaurant onboard vessels Silja Symphony and Silja Serenade, operating on the company’s Helsinki – Stockholm route.
Commenting on the new tasting menu, Sami Leino, Chef de Cuisine of Tallink Grupp’s vessel Silja Serenade, and the creative lead of the new Menu Nordic French Fusion, said:
“When looking for inspiration for the new Menu Nordic, our culinary team did not have to look too far – the French cuisine, of course, the ruler of all culinary aspects! The result of this creative fusion is as a match made in culinary heaven - an exquisite symbiosis of flavours highlighting the exciting and flavourful Nordic ingredients such as reindeer and buckthorn, for example, and the classic techniques of the French cuisine.”
“So, for example, reindeer pâté is a Scandinavian "old school" dish and thus needs to be prepared in the right way and also served the right way to enjoy it fully. The main course in the 5-course tasting menu features duck and is our modern Nordic version of duck a l ‘Orange – a very classic and great dish.”
“Menu Nordic French Fusion Vegan version starts with a very French dish Salade Niçoise which is also one of my personal favourites.”

A 5-course Menu Nordic French Fusion tasting menu is available for 85 euros and Menu Nordic French Fusion Vegan for 75 euros. To accompany the menu, a premium wines selection by the ship’s sommelier is available, alongside a non-alcoholic drinks package.
The Menu Nordic French Fusion is available onboard Tallink Grupp’s vessels Baltic Queen, Silja Serenade and Silja Symphony until 16 January 2024.
