MS Finlandia is docked 7.1 - 8.2.2024 – for extensive structural engineering changes to reduce fuel consumption and emission
Eckerö Line's MS Finlandia will be at the shipyard for renewal from 7 January to 8 February 2024. MS Finlandia sails to a dry dock in Landskrona, Sweden, where it is possible to service vessels of the same size as MS Finlandia and with readiness for longer docking periods. The last departure before docking will be 7 January at 18:30 from Tallinn to Helsinki. MS Finlandia returns to service on 8 February and departures at 15:15 from Helsinki to Tallinn.
While MS Finlandia is at the dock, our cargo ship MS Finbo Cargo, which also transports motor vehicles, operates as usual from Vuosaari harbour in Helsinki to Muuga in Tallinn.
MS Finlandia will receive, among other things, new rudders and propeller blades. The purpose of this measure is to reduce emissions and the estimated effect can be 6%. We want to contribute to the traffic between Helsinki and Tallinn being as environmentally friendly as possible and bear our responsibility for the cleanest shipping possible.
